Paraphrasing (and referencing)
Read the OWL instructions about paraphrasing and summarizing. You can try the basic or intermediate level exercises to help you understand the topics, but it is not required.
Differentiating: Summarizing, paraphrasing and quoting
This chart from the OWL sums up the differences very nicely. Please note that no matter whether you summarize, paraphrase or quote, you MUST cite the original source. Also, if you quote, you should provide the page number.

This portion is currently 157 words long. Your paraphrase should be 110 ~120 words long.
Remember to type your paraphrase in APA format, cite it at the start of your paraphrase (in-text citation) and provide the correct reference information (in APA style) at the end of the paraphrase.
